Sam just goes with the flow.   He is the "adopted" son in the band.  He's the guy who stays cheerful no matter how crazy the crisis.  He laughs at everyone's jokes and is always up for a great ending to a set.  Sam earned his stripes when we were at a gig, the sound went out, but the dancers were able to keep dancing because they could hear his beat.  Also, we may note that Sam will eat anything.  Sometimes it comes in handy to have one of those types around.  Bottom line: Sam is the nicest guy we know, not to mention a great travel companion and a terrific percussionist.
